The Museum Loan Network is looking for an Administrative Assistant to
provide support to the Museum Loan Network (MLN) Director and program
associates. The MLN is a national collection-sharing program funded by the
John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Pew Charitable Trusts and
administered by MIT's Office of the Arts. Responsibilities will include
assisting in the preparation and coordination of advisory committee and
other MLN-sponsored meetings; maintaining grantee databases and MLN mailing
list; developing and maintaining press archive; and handling financial
responsibilities, e.g., purchasing, maintaining accounting system for
expenditures, and budget reconciliation. Other duties will include
answering inquiries, handling correspondence, developing and maintaining
filing systems, making travel arrangements, and providing assistance with
other duties as needed. Will be in contact with museums and funding
organizations nationwide.

REQUIREMENTS: ability to work independently, excellent administrative and
organizational skills, ability to set priorities and complete tasks in a
timely manner, and experience with financial systems. Must possess
excellent computer skills including experience with Windows and Microsoft
Office. Experience with Excel essential; Access, HTML, and SAP experience a
plus. Experience with database systems helpful. Strong written and oral
communication skills essential. Excellent interpersonal skills required. An
interest in the arts or museums an asset. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
