You may want to get in touch with Helen McCorry or Ian O. Morrison of
the National Museums of Scotland ([log in to unmask] and [log in to unmask]
respectively).  Their work on the "Catechism Project" is a rare
example of looking at museum information from the demand side
(audience enquiries/needs).
