I'm new to this listserve but have many questions about successful
fundraising for medium size museums and the complexities of being a largely
government funded institution.

Please share some information about the most effective campaigns and the most
crucial first steps in forming a development council or friends of the museum
group.

Also I would really appreciate any viewpoints on the arts and funding in 1997
and the direct impact on medium to large museums.
