I work in an office dedicated to this sort of advice. Three of us are
employed by the county council to develop museum provision internally,
and also to advise small and independant museums in the county on
collections care, management, display, time capsules or anything else
they dream up to ask us. We also put together joint projects for museums
in the area, working with district councils and independant museums to
organise touring exhibitions, events, training days, joint marketing etc
etc.

If there are others out there doing this sort of work I too would be
happy to hear from them. It would be interesting to see if the issues
were the same both sides of the atlantic.

Best,
Jane
