NOTICE: In the Fall, the Technical Information Service of the American
Association of Museums will be publishing a 1997 resource report on the

This report is based on AAM's on-going efforts to provide current
information and best practices as museums comply with the law and spirit of
NAGPRA. Designed as a companion to "Native American Collections and
Repatriation", it will contain the latest regulations, examples of museum
operating and collection policies, an up-to-date reading list, and case
studies of museum/tribal collaborations, grant project summaries, and other
instances of implementation. Any individual or organization with suggestions
and/or recommendations for the publication or examples of:
*selected articles
*repatriation case studies
*resources
*policies and standards (accessioning, deaccessioning, collections
management, etc.)
*collaborative networks
*problems, concerns, etc.
