The credentialling process in "museum studies" is less
structured and standardized than many other areas of work, so
that it is a little difficult to find what one may be confident
is a complete listing of programs. There is additional
fuzziness over whether the "usual credential" for entrance is
at the baccalaureate level, or graduate. There is also the problem
of degree names. Assistance - or at least an introduction - with two
of these questions may be found in _Peterson's Guide to
Graduate and Professional Programs: An Overview, 1996_,
programs at p. 92, degree names at pp. 1229 - 1239 (the "degree
'alphabet soup'").
I am writing an article about this topic, to appear sometime in
a periodical near you.
