Museum Listers-

I have a damaged presentation plaque that's in dire need of improvement.
The plaque is 1/8'' imitation brass (metal with an off gold coloring)
mounted to a 3/4'' hardwood base. It looks like the people in the lounge
car spent a great deal of time spilling some very high powered drinks on
it, as the stain on the base has run over portions of the placque and is
discolored in several places. Problem--the plaque has been glued to the
base (it's from the early 'Seventies). Does anyone have a suggestion on
the best way to remove the plaque without damaging it?
