Hi!

A volunteer created an amazing backdrop/mural for an exhibit. We want
to merchandise it in our store. He's excited by the prospect but
neither one of us has ever done licensing before. He's suggested an
upfront fee plus a % of the sales. I don't have a problem with a
straight fee, but know that a % of sales will be a pain for our
accounting department of one. At any rate, we'd both like to hear what
are typical arrangements (and fees) for licensing original artwork for
this purpose. We'd love to hear your advice!

Thanks!
