Could you share with the list your suggestions or send them to me also. I
am responsible for an archaeological repository and this would be great
information.

Subject: Reply to Dain: archaeological plant remains

  Hi Dain,

I am a graduate student at UC-Berkeley working with archaeological plant
remains. I'd be happy to talk with you about how we curate our
  materials.

  Rachel Cane

  Dear List Members:

I am a graduate student at the University of
Iowa, and I am trying to
find information on the curation of plant remains
  from archaeological sites.
I have found references to other types of
  archaeological collections in
museums, and to techniques used to preserve modern
  plant specimens in
herbarium collections, but not much about
  archaeological plant remains. Most
of these are charred or dessicated materials,
  usually extremely fragile, and
sometimes microscopic as well (tiny seeds, etc.)
Does anyone know where I might find more
  information?
  Thanks,
          Dain Martinek
