Town Hall: The New Museum Information Professional
Sponsored by the MCN Leadership Development Committee

Facilitators:
Paul Marty, Assistant Professor, College of Information, Florida State
University, Leonard Steinbach, Chief Information Officer, The Cleveland
Museum of Art

Facilitators will lead a discussion about the changing landscape of the
museum information profession, in both large and small museums, and in
the natural and cultural history sectors as well as in art museums.
Active participation from the audience will be encouraged. The goal of
this town hall is to arrive at a concrete set of needs and a tangible
list of issues for MCN's newly formed Leadership Development Committee
to use as the foundation for a larger discussion that the committee will
initiate with Museum Studies and Library Information Science programs
about better representing museum information professionals in their
curricula.
