In addition to the references Susan mentioned, anyone interested in
Tyvek labels might want to check out Gisbert, Palacios, and
Garcia-Perea, 1990, "Labeling Vertebrate Collections with Tyvek
Synthetic Paper" in Collection Forum 6(1):35-37.  They report that
samples retained ink and remained alcohol resistant for 14 years.  In
the same issue, Gisbert and Garcia-Perea report on impregnating Tyvek
with ink in "Coloring Labels for Type Specimens" [Collection Forum
6(1):33-34].  Sort of the Tyvek Memorial Issue of Collection Forum.
