The Handweaving Museum & Arts Center is accepting applications for a
Full -Time Curator/Educator position.  The Curator/Educator will be
responsible for overall management and preservation of the Museum's
textile collection, the planning, development, and execution of
exhibits, the management of volunteers & docents, the creation &
coordination of exhibit related programming, grant writing, providing
access to the Museum's archives, and development of community outreach
programs. Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
Bachelor of Arts degree required, M.A. in History, Art or museum
related
field preferred. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office
programs. Applications must be received by January 3rd, 2005. Position
begins in January 2005 pending funding from the New York State Council
