This kind of room has been in several Los Angeles area
museums and in the now defunct (for our area at least)
Club Disney. It has been especially popular with
kids, but I've seen many a kid in a much older body
have fun with it, too.

If you want to invest a few dollars for a new twist,
how about props? The concept is that you pose and
then move away, thereby leaving your shadow behind (a
la Tinkerbelle and Peter Pan). Any kind of flamboyant
garb or handheld props (swords, umbrellas, and the
like) would make for more interesting shadows. Also
plants or other moveables you could slide around to
change the background could make it more fun. Cutouts
of shapes and the like.

Maybe some finger shadow puppetry examples (like doing
Little Bunny Foo-Foo on the wall) might help as well.
