We are an "emerging" museum and our bylaws call for the mayors of the two
towns adjoining our site to be "Ex Officio" members of our Board of
Directors, without voting rights.  That is, we want their participation and
input, but we do not want political control of the board in any way, so they
cannot actually vote.  They can suggest, advise, discuss, etc.
