Also, if you are looking for specific flowers that are not currently
available at a craft store, check with your local florist. They will
have tons of catalogs and suppliers who they could order them from for
you. When I was still in Wisconsin, I had lots of luck finding very nice
19th c. varieties through some specialty catalogs that our local florist
had. However, during my experience, I did find that these companies
will not let you order directly from them, but the florist can order
them for you. We worked with the florist to get them essentially at
their cost.

Hope this helps.

Subject: source for artificial flowers

Hello all,

I am looking for artificial orange blossoms for an
upcoming exhibit on wedding traditions, and I can't
seem to find any! Lots of references to how symbolic
they are in weddings, and yet I can't find a source
for them, even though many writers suggest getting
fake ones if real ones are too expensive for you.

If anyone has a source where I can get some faux
orange blossoms, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Kim Kenney
