Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth, MN has a "Conference Table" exhibit that
allows up to four visitors to work together to examine an issue important
to the health of the Great Lakes and vote on decisions/solutions. The
exhibit has one large video monitor with a narrator that hosts and guides
the activity. There are four touch-screen monitors that visitors use to
make selections, and view some information as individuals as they are
gathering information to make a decision. I've seen times when one or two
visitors are using it, and times when a couple of people have been working
together at each touch-screen monitor. I don't work at the Aquarium so I'm
not sure how the exhibit is currently being used - it was meant to be a
self-directed activity but the staff may be guiding sessions because it was
a fairly complex activity. You could contact David Lonsdale at GLA
218-740-2000 for more specific information.
