All of the museums mentioned in San Antonio are well worth visiting. You
DON'T need a car. When I was there a few years ago there was a bus line --
it has two route numbers, which I don't remember -- that connects all of
the museums and the missions -- you can pick it up at any of the museums or
downtown by the Alamo. We saw all of the missions, and really a neat
18th-century acqueduct that has interpetation about irrigation in Spanish
colonial period, in without a car. You could buy a day pass for the bus for
$4. It may cost more now, but it was well worth it.
