The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM) is accepting session proposals
for the 2005 AMM Conference, Museums and Success. The conference is
scheduled for October 26-28 at the Historic Hilton Netherland Hotel in
Cincinnati, OH.

In today's complex and dynamic professional world, there is a greater
demand and expectation for museums to become more accountable in programs
and services. A museum's constituency (including funders, members, board
members, and sectors of the museum community) all request increasingly
more explanation and evidence that museums are indeed reaching and
sustaining certain goals that are gauges of "success." The 2005 AMM
Conference, Museums and Success, will explore the many facets of museum
operations, and how museums are incorporating new initiatives and building
upon success as well as measuring outcomes. Sessions and workshops will
explore multiple ways in which museums define and measure success.

The deadline for submission is January 15, 2005. For additional
information or to download a proposal form, visit the AMM website at
<www.midwestmuseums.org> or contact Brian Bray at (314) 746-4557 or
<[log in to unmask]>. Proposal forms should be faxed to (314) 746-
4569 or mailed to: AMM, P.O. Box 11940, St. Louis, MO 63112
