Seems the government has screwed up and is having to
eat its mistake.  According to the above link (well
worth the read if you like a little humor about
ineptitude), the government awarded the Jacob Javits
Fellowships to the wrong people this year.  The law
precludes them from denying the money once awarded and
they have probably saved themselves a good deal of
litigation if the truth came out they only gave to the
wrong ones.

The Javits Fellowships pay for graduate study in the
arts, humanities and social sciences, certainly areas
that could affect the museum field.
