I am a student intern at the Virginia Living Museum working on
a research project involving the mating habits of the American Bald
eagle in captivity. I have included a short questionnaire for
those zoos and natural science museums which would be able to
provide me with data on this area. Thank you for your assistance.

1. What are the ages of your mating eagles?

2. How long have they been in captivity?

3. What is the reason for their captivity?

4. Are they fully flighted? Partially flighted?

5. If not flighted, how much of the wing is missing?

6. What breeding behavior have the eagles displayed?

7. Have the eagles bred successfully?

8. How soon after captivity was the first egg laid? Was it
fertile?

9. What became of the offspring?

10. Briefly describe your eagle enclosure, include any special
breeding areas.

11. Are the eagles constantly near human contact?
