The J. Seward Johnson Marine Education and Conference Center invites
applications for the full-time position of Curator of the Harbor Branch
Oceanographic Museum.  The combined Harbor Branch collections of over
50,000 lots (in zoological, herbarium, teaching, and archival sections)
emphasize Florida and the Caribbean, especially the remarkably biodiverse
Indian River Lagoon and adjacent coastal zone.  Primary responsibilities
include building and maintenance of existing collections, interaction
with visitors and staff (including volunteers), development of exhibits,
and teaching marine science to college students, faculty, and the
interested public.  Applicants must have a Master's degree, Ph.D.
preferred, as well as experience in curatorial procedures and in
effective use of volunteer staff.  Taxonomic expertise in a group of
marine organisms and familiarity with local marine ecosystems are highly
desirable, as is previous teaching experience.  Send letter of
