Position: Curator
Employer: Phoenix Museum of History
Salary: Open
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Type: Full time
Preferred Education: Masters

Description:
The Curator is responsible for the preservation and management of the museum
’s three-dimensional, archival, and photographic collections and for the
implementation of the museum’s exhibit program. This includes processing all
donations and loans to the museum’s collection, coordinating temporary
exhibits, working with a team on exhibit planning and funding, and answering
questions from the public about local history and the collection. This
position reports to the Executive Director.

Requirements:
·	Bachelor’s degree in history, museum studies, or related field. Master’s
degree preferred.
·	Knowledge and experience in collection management policies and procedures.
·	Experience in exhibit development and implementation.
·	Knowledge of Phoenix and/or Arizona history preferred.
·	Strong written and oral communication skills.
·	Strong organizational skills.
·	Ability to be flexible and work well as a member of a team.
·	Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Knowledge of Past
Perfect preferred.

Valley.  The Museum has been serving the community since 1927 and is
dedicated to enhancing the public’s knowledge of the many cultures that have
shaped Phoenix and its environs. Since moving to its new 20,000 square foot
facility in Heritage and Science Park in downtown Phoenix in 1996, the
museum has sponsored numerous special exhibits and programs and continues to
