Jason:

Prior to accepting or considering the acceptance of temple rubbings, I would
make certain they were obtained legally.  Many countries forbid the taking
of rubbings from stone or other monuments to reduce the destruction this
activity causes.  Each rubbing contributes to abrasions on the decorated
surface.
