Dear colleagues:

My institution is planning for a major exhibition of portraits by an African-American artist. To help the show reach the broadest possible audience, we would like to include at least one hands-on, interactive component. At this stage, I'm trying to find out what other museums and galleries have already done in this area. Can anyone on the list recommend an institution that has implemented such an activity about portraits successfully? Has anyone seen such an interactive that they thought was done well? Or has anyone experienced a hands-on component dealing with portraits that they felt should have been conceived or implemented differently? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Mary Jane
