Do you mean Archaeologists in costume interpreting or archaeologists
working on a site and explaining things to visitors as they are working or
people playing archaeologists in costume doing interpretation?

I've worked as an archaeologist and as a costumed interpreter and know
other people who have done so as well. But each job was independant of the
other, i.e. the costume interpretation was done as an interpreter not
because I was also working as an archaeologist.
