Job Summary:
Assists in providing curatorial services for the House of Representatives. Assists in scholarly research for collection and exhibition-related subjects. Provides support in registration, movement, and maintenance of objects and exhibitions. Provides assistance on special projects.

Qualifications:
Strong research, writing, and problem-solving skills and organizational ability. At least two years’ experience in research and/or collections is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in History of Art, History, Museum Studies, or related field strongly preferred. Ability to exercise discretion in fulfillment of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility to work as a member of a team performing shared duties. Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner. Ability to reach, lift, and move fine and decorative art and historical artifacts displayed and stored in multiple historic buildings. Occasional late, early, and weekend work is expected.
