The Midwest Open Air Museum now has a web site describing their Spring
Conference- http://www.thepoint.net/~pastpat/momcc/

The conference workshops and sessions are of interest to people
concerned with education as presented through living history, the
classroom, and museums. The workshops include tinsmithing, midwest
canals, shawls, 19th century clothing, the Underground Railroad, and
American Jazz.

The sessions include such 19th century studies as: circuit riding
preachers, Quakers, the Underground Railroad, one-bottom plows, the
Miami Indians, the Oliver company, storytelling, the history of the
sewing machine, Indiana Canals, Overbeck pottery and the German settlers
in the midwest. The administrative sessions include: education as a
shared experience, interpreter burn-out, family volunteer programs,
insurance liability, and the National Road Project.
