Apologies to list for perpetuating this thread, but feel compelled to post my views
on a few issues:

(1) I know Gayle off the list .. have so for years now .. I know how much effort
she's invested in developing online resources (e.g. Muse Jobs, Got Links, etc) ..
but try as I might (hey, I'm a capitalist) .. I have never been able to convince her
to come over to the "dark side" and generate revenue for herself through these
efforts. - She's stubborn about providing helpful and (I think) thoughtful
commentary on a wiiiide range of subjects .. without .. um .. prostituting herself
to the gods of luker.

(2) Personally, I wish MORE people on this list would post links to their personal
"museum-ish" projects .. I'll bet there are a lot of gems available that we simply
are not aware of .. or need an occasional reminder .. (BTW, thanks to Adrienne
DeAngelis for recently doing so)

(3) Those of us who make a business of web "stuff" .. Museum Security Network,
Global Museum, and my own MuseumStuff.com .. we post frequently as well .. and with
an eye towards self-promotion .. (not that that's a bad thing) .. I believe that we
all try to respect the non-commercial nature of this list .. but when WE post, it's
not quite as "pure" as when a volunteer oriented individual (like Indigo) does so. -
Now I let the cat out of the bag. - Sorry guys, but if we commercially oriented ones
did not tend to frame our posts in some "self promoting" fashion .. we would not be
in business for long.

(4) Kabwe .. Indigo comments on EACH and EVERY subject? - Now that's just not true.
It appears to seem so to you .. and I won't argue with on why that may be. Evidently
you have your reasons .. which I encourage you to explore further. Mayby in a quiet
spot .. and I'm not being facetious ;)
