We recently had two objects brought to our museum that we need help identifying. One is a phallic-shaped flute from South America that was given to the patron’s father by a diplomat in the 1970s while he was in that country (they are not sure where specifically). She is just looking for more information on the object. The second object we have no idea what it was originally used for; it is a long piece of metal with a handle on one end and a ladle-shaped piece on the other. The best we can come up with is that it was used to melt something over a fire, but we are not sure. I have pictures of both of these objects if you can help. Thanks so much!
