Dear Fellow Listers:

The project I am working on, the Heartland Heritage Center, is in its proposal
stage of infancy.

The principals would like to create an archives of living histories, a
heritage center, remote houses, farms, and sites that are interpreted, a
museum, and a conference center for groups, think tanks, scholars and/or
artists.

I'm aware of places like Williamsburg, Virginia and Mystic Seaport,
Connecticut, but does anyone know of institutional models, especially small-
to-midsize organizations, which include any or all of these functions?

Thank you for your suggestions.
