The Amistad Research Center is planning a major travelling exhibition
of its Aaron Douglas and AFAC Collections (multi-media)
in the Fall of 1996.
The exhibit will consist of works by artists from the original
Harmon Foundation Collection of Negro Art including
Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, Richmond Barthe, Hale Woodruff, Aaron
Douglas, and Henry Ossawa Tanner. It is the Center's first major
travelling exhibition of its permanent collections.
We are in need of information on climate controlled arts
transporters/shippers, crating designers, and suppliers of museum quality
packing storage materials (ethofoam, labels, bubble wrap, marking
materials, etc.) and information on preparing exhibits for international
venues.
