THE TECH MUSEUM OF INNOVATION
FULL-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE
Web Graphic Designer

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.

A professional is needed to serve as Graphic Designer for the On-Line
Services of The Tech Museum of Innovation.  The primary responsibility of
the position is to support design and production needs of The Tech's
rapidly growing Web site.  This is a full-time, exempt position, reporting
to The Tech On-Line Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and produce creative and exciting Web pages and online
interactives, including graphic user interfaces (GUI's) and demonstrations
for Web publication.
* Work with Tech On-Line team and other departments to design original
graphic content for Web publication.
* Assist with the establishment of the overall structure of The Tech's Web
site.
* Integrate new technology to Web site.
* Serve as Museum Manager or Asst. Museum Manager on assigned weekend days
and holidays.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Interest in creating intriguing, educational Web experiences for children
and adults.
* 2-3 years of experience with multimedia and Web page creation.
* Must be proficient with Mac and PC graphics software (including
Photoshop, Illustrator, Virtus WalkThrough Pro, QuarkXpress, or Ray Dream).
* Experience with 3D rendering and GUI development.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with HTML, Java, UNIX, Perl, Shell or CGI scripting is a plus.
* Bilingual is a plus.
