Mary Ames B. Sheret wrote requesting information on wooden hangars and dress
forms. I know that there are other articles out there on costume mounts.
However, one excellent article came to mind immediately, so I thought that I
would post it.

Sarah White, "The Role of Costume Mounting in Preventive Conservation", pp.
228 - 232. This was published in Preventive Conservation Practice, Theory
and Research, the Preprints of of the Ottawa Congress of the International
Institute for Conservation, 12- 15 Septemebr 1994. The paper discusses the
preparation of "dummies" and the type of padding and support needed. What I
especially like about the article is that the process of assessment of the
garments' needs is discussed as well as the requirement to create modelled
forms that are appropriate to each garment.
