Position: Assistant Regional Curator, Hadrian's Wall Museums

25 month contract, 2 and a half days a week (job share)

Salary: in the region of GBP 8,385 p.a.

The Hadrian's Wall World heritage Site museums at Corbridge, Chesters and Housesteads are three of our 23 registered museum collections. A curator is sought to job share with the present curator of the Hadrian's Wall museums for two and a half days a week, for a 25 month period.

The post is responsible for all aspects of the care, documentation, storage, conservation and security of the collections, in addition to researching and advising on their interpretation and presentation, of which responding to enquiries, enabling access to the collections, giving talks and tours is part. The post will include considerable documentation work, the supervision of contractors and visitors, and exhibition preparation. The post will be based at Corbridge Roman Site, Corbridge, Northumberland, England.
