COLLECTIONS MANAGER
NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM
SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION

The incumbent will assume responsibility for the physical care of THE
definitive collection of aerospace history including aircraft, spacecraft,
aerospace ephemera and art. The Collections Division encompasses three
departments; Preservation and Restoration, Collections Processing and
Conservation, composed of a staff of 46 employees and department
supervisors deployed in three locations in the Washington DC area. As a
Division Manager; providing overall leadership, establishing goals,
developing strategic and tactical plans and priorities, allocating
resources, developing and executing a budget and establishing policy will
be prime responsibilities.  We seek an experienced museum professional with
the demonstrated ability to lead a collections management function that
embodies the best practices and standards of AAM and AIC. This is a Federal
grade 14 position, starting at $83,334. For a application information and
