Providing advice, information and support to museums and galleries within
Surrey, you will act as CEO of Surrey Museums Consultative Committee. This
influential role represents an excellent opportunity to make a real
difference on the ground, and get involved in a diverse range of issues
affecting museums.

You will have:
* at least two years' experience of working in a museum or heritage
environment;
* experience of developing and delivering advisory & information services;
* experience in implementing service improvements within complex
organisations;
* ability to manage a diverse and time critical workload and deliver
results.

Working closely with colleagues in the new Surrey Heritage division, and
the Museum Development Offices of West Sussex and East Sussex, Brighton and
Hove; as well as with SEMLAC, the South East Hub and other partners to
ensure that the aims and objectives of Renaissance are achieved in the
sub-region.

This post is partly funded by the Renaissance Museum Development Fund. You
will be employed and hosted by Surrey County Council as part of the
Heritage Partnership and Learning Team, based at the Surrey History Centre
in Woking.

We welcome job-share, part-time and secondment applications.
