I encourage you to check out the German made Fein line of vacuums. They
are the best shop vacs I have ever worked with. They are available with
HEPA filters and are also designed to be an integral part of a dustless
sanding system used for dry wall work as well as work involving toxics
and nasty dusts such as marine bottom paint and fiberglass. The basic
model which I use was under $300 (model 9.55.13) and is the quietest and
nicest vac I've ever used, and if returned to a service center within
the 1 year warranty period, they will overhaul it and guarantee it for
another six month, ad infinitum.
Check them out at www.Fein.com .
