VRA ANNUAL CONFERENCE, SAN ANTONIO, JANUARY 25-28, 1995

The 13th annual conference of the Visual Resources Association will be held
in San Antonio, Texas, from Wednesday, January 25, through Saturday, January
28, 1995. As always, the VRA conference will be concurrent with the College
Art Association's annual meeting. Out Lonestar State colleagues have planned
a full complement of activities which highlight the city's rich cultural and
culinary variety.
The Executive Board and the Conference Planning Committee have made
every effort to incorporate suggestions made after last year's conference
into this year's schedule. For example, in direct response to requests for
more pracitcal information on cataloguing, there will be 3 separate events on
that topic--a session, a round table discussion, and a workshop. The New
Technologies Roundup, reinstated after several years' absence, should help
attenders learn a great deal about particular equipment possibilities; and
we have scheduled 2 hands-on computer workshops.
Events on similar topics have been grouped together, and the entire
schedule has been more evenly spaced over the 4 days of the conference, to
facilitate your travel planning. Please note that the schedule presented
here is still subject to some fine-tuning; not all speakers lists are
yet available. For general information about the conference, please contact
Jenni Rodda, VRA Vice President, c/o Institute of Fine Arts, 1 East 78th
Street, New York, NY 10021, 212-772-5872, fax 212-772-5807, e-mail
