FOCUSING ON PHOTOGRAPHS: IDENTIFICATION AND PRESERVATION
presented by the Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts

June 29 & June 30, 2010 - Save the Dates!

Baltimore, MD

Cosponsored by:
Johns Hopkins Sheridan Libraries

This two-day program will focus on the fundamentals of identifying and caring for photographic collections. Through lectures and demonstrations, participants will gain a holistic view of:

* Identifying and caring for photographic materials
* Housing and rehousing for preservation
* Developing appropriate handling and display procedures
* Establishing safe storage environments, including cold storage options

The program is intended for collections care staff responsible for photographic collections, including collections managers, librarians, archivists, curators, stewards of historic house museums, and records managers.

Registration fee for both days is $200 for CCAHA members and $225 for non-members.

Major funding for this program was generously provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), with additional funding from The Pew Charitable Trusts.
