The Joliet Area Historical Museum, a new 9.2 million dollar facility
scheduled to open in September 2002, seeks a full-time Educator.  The major
responsibilities of the position are the development, implementation,
marketing and evaluation of the museum's educational offerings.  Job duties
include recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of part-time
staff, volunteers, and interns.  Fiscal responsibilities include oversight
of museum program budget and participation in grantwriting for educational
initiatives.  Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in
Education, History, Museum Studies or related field.  1-3 years experience
in educational setting.  Strong research, writing, and oral presentation
skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.  Full-time, salaried position
requires some evening and weekend hours.  Starting salary:  $32K with
