Our Assistant Registrar, Keith Gill, is doing a presentation at the
upcoming MMC conference on moving large museum artifacts. The Museum of
Science and Industry has had a lot of experience moving large artifacts
such as antique planes, cars, trains, a world war II submarine, and most
recently, a 727 airplane. Keith would like to provide a handout to the
attendees listing rigging/moving companies in the midwest that have
experience moving large or unusually shaped museum objects. We have used
Taft a lot -- but are interested in what companies are used in states
other than Illinois. Suggestions? Thanks.
