Hi All,

I have been directing a virtual museum which is pioneering new
approaches to web promotion of science museums. As we all know, this is a
field that is rapidly evolving. The new web language, known as Java, will
soon take hold and offer new options for our web sites; including
animation and new levels of interactivity.

Aside from the usual real-vs-virtual-museum debate, I think we could all
benefit from an open discussion of how museum web sites differ from other
web sites. What new ideas can we use to design unique and interesting web
sites? How can museums be presented in an exciting and educational
manner? What makes our web sites any different from the next so-called
cool site of the day?

Please post your replies for all of us to see...

                                        Serendipities,
                                        Arthur
