SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - DEVELOPMENT

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Systems Administrator for the Development and Membership Departments.  The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for managing PledgeMaker, the fundraising database used by the Development and Membership Offices.  Core functions include auditing gift posting and data management, application training, and reporting.  Also, The Systems Administrator leads weekly meetings with senior staff, is responsible for action items relating to gift processing issues, and generates and reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reports.  During peak processing times, the position serves as a backup to the main gifts processing staff.  This person will manage one full-time staff member dedicated to database and technical support.  The System Administrator coordinates efforts among Development, Membership, and IS&T to continually enhance the use of technology in support of fundraising, and serves as the main representative of the Museum in dealing with PledgeMaker.  This person will take a pragmatic approach by not only providing vision, but by working hands on with team members to produce the desired results. 

Successful candidates will possess 1-3 years of experience maintaining, training, and troubleshooting databases.  Experience working with PledgeMaker or other Oracle databases is preferred.  Knowledge of and experience with the following tools, and products: SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PDAs - Palm and Blackberry, MS Access, MS Office Suite, PledgeMaker, or other fundraising database application is preferred.  Bachelor degree in a related field of study is required.
