My board is now considering how to budget a restricted fund for
depreciation.  (Monthly allocation to dep. fund, total needed in
depreciation account, etc.)  I'm curious about any formula that other
museums use to calculate an amount to allocate for depreciation.  We are a
small-medium ($500,000 annual budget) arts center housed in a historic
building.  Have a healthy endowment and reliable income sources, but
trying to set money aside for a rainy day.  Advice?
