Dear members,

I want you to ask just a simple question. Somehow it is also delicate.
Very recently we received a book for review by a well known museologist
on museological questions. What would you do if you find out that this
authors states only his personal view as "the scientific" view and does
not treat other authors opinions? If you find out that newer
publications are not read? That hints on all other schools of thinking
are (willingly) omitted? That nearly no hints are given to his own
influential prethinkers? That a formal scientific structure is been used
and lots of literatur can be found, but not the museological articles
published in probably the most important museological publication in his
own language?

Would you accept such a publication as "a personal view" or would you
call such "ex cathedra" books something else?

Thanking for any opinion
