I have never been there, but I was researching a visit in that city for
possible collaborations through the Museum Loan Network.

You didn't mention what type of museums:  but two top ones are

1) The Institute of Texan Cultures, affiliated with the U. Texas-San Antonio
which has major collections and exhibits on 27 ethnic groups in Texas
www.texancultures.utsa.edu

2) The San Antonio Museum of Art has major Latin American and other art
collections

www.sa-museum.org
