Programmer

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Programmer for the Information Systems & Technology Department.  Primary responsibilities include: user and technical support to existing enterprise applications and small-scale applications developed in-house, (primarily in Visual Basic), as well as 3rd party applications; designing, developing, testing and implementing small-scale applications, interfaces, subroutines, etc. to meet ongoing and ad-hoc requirements; developing/enhancing tools and web services in support of services provided by IS&T department; preparing documentation and holding reviews in accordance with department standards; code analysis/troubleshooting, and other related duties as required.

Successful candidates will have a minimum 2 to 3 years experience in Visual Basic and SQL.  Experience with ASP, ASP.net, Crystal Reports, HTML, XML is an asset.  Must have demonstrated ability to design/develop/test/implement small scale applications, as well as demonstrated ability in web development.  Must be able to work with people with varying levels of computer knowledge.
