After reading the very lengthy string of e-mails on this subject, I thought 
it would be most appropriate to reply in the beginning, no pun intended.

I will be brief with my comments  (perhaps too brief).  The closed 
mindedness and lack of tolerance of some of our “colleagues” is really an 
eye opener.
