Cratemaker / Kaihanga poutoko Taonga - Hei Uwhi
(Object Support Preparator)

We're looking for an experienced Cratemaker to take responsibility for
providing safe and appropriate supports for collection items in transit and
in storage, and to assist others in the Object Support team in mountmaking
and framing.

Proven carpentry skills and quality workmanship are essential, along with
experience in maintaining a carpentry workshop, and a good safety record.
You will also have successful experience in constructing and fitting crates
for museum/art gallery collections and experience in handling taonga,
artworks and artefacts safely and appropriately.

You will enjoy working co-operatively in a team and be well organised, with
the ability to deliver reliably to multiple projects and deadlines.

A forklift licence and experience in welding and/or framing would be an
advantage..
