Yet another question about the appropriate/ethical/legal use of funds derived from sale of deaccessioned objects.

I'm looking for input on using those restricted funds to support the process of deaccessioning. In other words, we may have a major deaccession project in our future that requires hiring a consultant to carry out in a professional and appropriate manner. There may also be expenses to temporarily house the items in a secure and climate-appropriate storage facility.

Can I use the funds from the deaccession to support those costs?

It seems to me that hiring a pro to carry out these activities insures that the collections are handled in an appropriate manner - does that fit care of the collections?
